Expociència, the festival of science and innovation of The University of Valencia celebrates its 11th edition this year. The event is on Saturday, May 25, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., in the Scientific Park of the academic institution. The Expociència 2019 program covers a hundred scientific and technological activities prepared by researchers from the University and the CSIC, and also by the companies of the Science Park. Play, learning and fun await the thousands of visitors who come each year to this space for innovation located in the vicinity of the Burjassot-Paterna Campus.

Expociència is the open day of the Parc Científic (PCUV), the Innovation ecosystem of the University of Valencia and a place where scientists and entrepreneurs work to make effective the transfer of knowledge to the productive sector and society. Like every year, the Parc organizes this festival of science, technology and innovation, in order to show the public its research activity. And it does so as a game throughout the entire Saturday morning.

This year, the organization has prepared around one hundred recreational and informative proposals. In addition to the activities that the research institutes of the PCUV and the Higher Technical School of Engineering (ETSE) offer each year, the festival has the participation of the Parc's companies, different centers, departments and entities of the University of Valencia (Botanical Garden, Clinics of the University-Lluís Alcañiz Foundation, Museum of Natural History of the University, among others) and the Experimenta Fair. This eleventh edition also includes the participation of different associations and NGOs, the City of Arts and Sciences, the Institute of Chemical Technology (ITQ-UPV/CSIC) and the Eva Manises Chess Club, among others. science, observing the Universe from the depths of the sea, contributing to planting a forest or acting as scientific police in a crime in the genetics laboratory. You can draw in 3 Dimensions, appear and disappear behind polarized glasses, prepare a Slime, paint with bacteria, launch rockets, play with Lego robots, observe cells or detect environmental radioactivity. And to commemorate the 150th birthday of the creation of the Periodic System, educational activities will be held around it that will conclude with the creation of a large Periodic Table, based on fun 'socarrats', which will be exhibited in the Natural History Museum of the University.

Visitors will be able to share experiences with great scientists, such as those who work at the European Space Agency or at the Great Particle Accelerator; or those who are dedicated to the conservation of biodiversity, energy efficiency and the environment. Because many of them work in the Science Park and will be at Expociencia available to everyone.

The day will host the awards ceremony for the Natura project, an initiative aimed at secondary school students for the development of natural science projects focused on primary school students, organized by the Faculty of Biology of the University of Valencia.

Organized by the Park Científic, Expociencia receives visits from thousands of citizens every year and has the collaboration of the University of Valencia itself and the Higher Council for Scientific Research (CSIC), as well as the support of the Generalitat Valenciana.

The organization recommends the use of public transport.
